Definition
The Bouvier des Flandres is a large, shaggy-coated breed of dog from Belgium. Its distinctive beard-like facial hair and bushy eyebrows give it a dignified appearance. Originally bred as a herding dog, the Bouvier excels at herding livestock with ease. With its calm and gentle nature, it makes an excellent family companion and therapy dog. The Bouvier's shaggy coat requires regular grooming to prevent matting and tangling.
