Technical Illustrations

Technical illustrations are probably the most important part of the invention because they convey the overall idea in a way which has the most impact for your audience.

The examiner and others interested in your application will find the best rendering of your ideas when you take time to sketch them properly. This is where I take over, and can enhance your overall patent illustrations by doing a number of things.

First, and foremost, the drawings will conform to the US and/or PCT code for patent figures. Secondly, any inconsistencies or oversights will be identified in the figures where appropriate, and conveyed to the attorney for his/her approval. Finally, aesthetic features and references will be added per my personal cache of experience. These include standardized font sizes, line weights and figure reference leader lines. Then, I will package up your drawings in a PDF attachment which is automatically generated by a custom script coded in AutoCAD. This script ensures all the drawings will have appropriate margins. And finally, the PDF attachment will be named (according to a copyrighted naming convention) for future reference on your own library of patent figures and also in my Company Archives of client drawings.
